Code of Conduct

Design Managers is a safe and inclusive environment for managers of all experience levels. Here are some rules to maintain the integrity of the workspace.

Values

Design Managers is guided by three principles:

  • Respect your community.

  • Support your community.

  • Communicate mindfully.

Respect Your Community

We are all dedicated to being the best we can be. In order to foster growth within the community we expect all members to be respectful of each other's experiences both in work and in life. We will not tolerate any form of abuse, hatred, bigotry, racism, misogyny, racism, agism or homophobia. This is a strict policy and grounds for account deletion.

Support Your Community

Conversations in the Design Managers workplace should be honest, critical, and helpful. We should hold each other accountable to maintain an environment that is both helpful and supportive. If communication/feedback strays from being constructive and becomes cruel it will not be tolerated. Repeat offenders will be banned.

Communicate Mindfully

The topics discussed in the Design Managers workplace will involve topics that could put ICs identities at risk. The creative community is large, but it is also hyperconnected. When speaking about a specific topic or experience please follow the following rules:

  • No names.

  • No information that could reveal a person's identity.

  • No confidential information about an individual or an organization.

  • No shit talking.

  • No gossip.

Remember, you are a leader and you are also human. Any conversations that break these rules will be met with a warning and the content will be deleted from the archives. Repeat offenders will be banned.
